Where can I learn about the Internet?

You can best learn from doing.  How did you get to this page?  You clicked on the NetTutor button on the TalWeb Favorites page most likely.  That means you "followed a link" to another website.  Anytime you move your mouse around on a webpage and you see the mouse pointer turn into a hand, this means there is a link to another webpage if you click when the hand is present.  Some links are done another way, but this is a good way to start.

Another great way to learn, is to find a friend, family member, or co-worker who knows about the Internet a bit and invire them over for dinner.  Very few computer saavy people will turn down free food and a chance to "surf the Net" to boot.

Sometimes the library or a training center will have seminars on how to surf the internet.  Some are free, some are not.  Good luck surfing and now you can...
